Aldous Leonard Huxley (born July 26, 1894, and died November 22, 1963) completed his first novel at 17 and began writing seriously in his early twenties. Aldous Huxley was born in Goldaming to an illustrious family rooted in England’s literary and scientific tradition. His best-known novel is Brave New World (1932). Students everywhere are familiar with his science novels, Eyeless in Gaza, Chrome Yellow, and Island Book.

Huxley had a tough early life. When he was 14, his mother died of cancer, his brother committed suicide, and he began having problems with his eyesight. Because of an infection, his corneas became inflamed and thus couldn’t see well. But after all of these, he authored more than 50 books and a large selection of poetry, stories, articles, philosophical treatises, screenplays, and quotes.

Huxley dies of laryngeal cancer, on his deathbed, since he couldn’t speak, he wrote a request to his wife for LSD. She injects one and another an hour later. He passed away on November 22, 1963, at 5.20 pm.
